Role: Art Direction, UX/UI Design, Logo Design
Tools: Figma, Framer, InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Procreate
Status: In Progress (Case Study Coming Soon)
Spotify Soothe is a conceptual extension of the Spotify platform—designed as a sonic sanctuary for users seeking more than just music. It reimagines the traditional streaming experience by offering a calming, personalized environment rooted in nervous system regulation, mindfulness, and emotional safety.
As art director and UX/UI designer, I led the creation of a visual and experiential language that breaks from Spotify’s fast-paced, content-heavy interface. I also designed the brand identity and logo, blending organic hand-drawn elements in Procreate with polished vector work in Adobe Illustrator to reflect the gentle, restorative nature of the experience.
Spotify Soothe blends algorithmic curation with intentional user feedback to craft a space that responds to the user's emotional and sensory needs. A key challenge has been designing features that feel meaningful and necessary—avoiding redundancy or complexity, given Spotify's already robust ecosystem.
A full case study is currently in development, documenting the design thinking, research, brand strategy, and iterative process behind the experience.
This ongoing project explores how technology can hold space—not just serve content.
